I had resisted the 1/6 scale Mark XLIII as it is simply a recolored XLII. This suit, however, is fully functional and is in the opening scene of the Avengers: Age of Ultron.
It comes packed individually with handle for easy carrying and the exterior box does do a good job in protecting the actual toy box. I've placed my iPhone 6+ for a size reference.
The packaging is a looker and this is something I will find hard to discard.
The front of the packaging features a pop-out Mark XLIII head sculpt and a circular indicator stating this is 1/4 scale.
Slide out the inner box and a nice Mark XLIII cardboard piece holds the item intact.
Other than its size, the toy doesn't actually gives me any of those wow moments. However, it is still a very amazing piece.
The difference between the 1/4 scale and 1/6 scale Mark XLIII has to be the additional LED features seen above around the leg areas.
Other accessories include the shoulder munition pods.
The forearm missile launcher comes in 2 versions.
This forearm missile has 3 positions. see above and below.
Other than the leg LEDs, the chest area and the forearm area have extra blue LEDs. The switches at this area allows for options of just the arc reactor or with the blue LEDs.
The diorama display base comes with parts of destroyed Ultron Sentry.
The sentry head and arm can be displayed separately or attached to the display base.
There is an optional arc reactor cover piece too. The attached is the alternate cover that is translucent whereas the rest above are transparent.
