Sen-Ti-Nel Re:Edit War Machine ... ...

bringing back the good old comic book-like War Machine.

I wasn't expecting much as this is my first Sen-Ti-Nel product and I am impressed.

Star Wars Fever is still on ... ...

Everywhere you go in Singapore, you will see something that is related to Star Wars and I was lucky to pick up the Black Series Scout Trooper and Speeder Bike set at Takashimaya.

At $30, this is a steal!

The thing is that I had given up this set from a pre-order and got the Sideshow version instead. It is pure coincident that I managed to snag this.

The Shell V-Power X Ferrari Passion series ... ...

is another one of those promotions that Shell stations in Singapore have that makes me spend money on things that takes up my already limited space.

However, I do think they look pretty good and it will be a pity to miss them.

This year's collection is under the brand of Bburago and this Italian diecast model car company delivers a set of very nice vehicles which I probably will never own in my life-time.

Sideshow Jango Fett, not quite the simple man ... ...

Jango Fett, a bounty hunter, not by birth or choice but by fate. He was adopted by Madalorian warriors since young after the murder of his parents. That explains his outfit which is modeled after the warriors of Madalore. Soon, he became a bounty hunter and later agreed to be the genetic template for the clones for the Grand Army of the Republic.

His son, Boba Fett carried on Jango's legacy as a bounty hunter and sporting a cooler updated suit. Read the review on Sideshow Boba Fett here.

Play Arts Kai Boba Fett ... ...

This is probably how Boba should really look like; more like the ruthless bounty hunter portrayed in Star Wars.

Pay Arts Kai Stormtrooper ... ...

Following from the last post, this will feature only Stormtrooper.

Play Arts Kai Storm Boba ... ...

Looks like I'm riding the Star Wars bandwagon for the past few post and including these 3 I am posting tonight.

I usually don't go for deformed or alternative design toys but these guys... somehow had me sold. I gave Darth Vader a miss and those from the S.I.C series a big miss too.

The main reason I bought Boba and Stormtrooper is for the updated look which makes them look much better than what Lucas had wanted them to be back in 1977.

Forced to be Awaken (Star Wars VII - The Force Awakens)... ...

Force Friday was just over and I wasn't actually prepared for what happened today. Was running my regular errand and then... Toys'R'us United Square forced the Star Wars VII - The Force Awakens newly released toys upon my son and me.

Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper by Sideshow ... ...

And they go together!!

Sideshow Scout Trooper ... ...

has to be the perfect companion to the Speeder Bike.

Sideshow Speeder Bike ... ...

is something that I did not see coming which I have gladly purchased. By the way, Sideshow made a rather interesting promo video.

I have always been fascinated by the vehicles in Star Wars as a child and even now as an adult. As mentioned many posts ago that I am a hardcore trooper fan. So, getting this additional speeder bike in this scale is a must.

G.F.F Banshee Norn Part II ... ...

Living up to the true spirit of a Singaporean, I shall not rest on my laurels and simply leave things as they are.

I've taken out Banshee Norn for another round of shoots with features I have missed from the earlier post.

G.F.F 1013 Banshee Norn ... ...

I've been resisting the temptation to get anymore Gundam related figures and Gundam Fix Figuration (G.F.F) is one of those I told myself to stop getting as I still have many left unboxed in my cabinets. Then, Bandai came up with G.F.F Metal Composite version of various iconic Gundams. They look fantastic and so are their price tags. Thus, I have resisted well thus far.

Until this came along, the Unicorn Gundam 02, Banshee Norn. More information here.

Alpha Upgrade ... ...

In 2009, I got my first Girl Friend and in the next year, an Alpha Male, which I failed to document in this blog.

6 years on, the 2 has been my faithful companions in shooting subjects that interest me. This year, 2015, Alpha Male had a cardiac arrest during a fireworks display. I've brought it in for professional help and it is back in action but I decided to upgrade.

The Sony ICLA or simply ALT 77 Mark II. It's an upgrade from it's predecessor the ALT 77.

Woah....100, 000 views already??

Thanks to those who visited my blog and made this milestone possible. I had wanted to name the blog Alteregoistic but someone already used that and I had to settle with Alteregoistical but hey, what's in a name right?

Thank you and Thank you!!

Hot Toys Mark XLI Bones ... ...

is yet another suit from the House Party Protocol. To me, this is like a half-baked XLII, however, the cool factor of Bones is super Hot!

Masterpiece Star Saber MP-24 ... ...

I once I said Rodimus Prime is the last Masterpiece I will ever get since Takara Tomy decided to produce this once pristine line with cheap ABS. However, taken the fact that I've been sold by the so many old school MPs that came along the way, I have to eat my words.

The fact is also that Rodimus could just be a one-off flop by Takara Tomy. However, Star Saber isn't all perfect too.

Happy Father's Day ... ...

To all the cool collector dads out there, Happy Father's Day!!

Pleasantly surprised by my son this morning with a card from him and this year, it came with something I normally buy for him.

I'm touched and blessed to have my son who understands me. No wonder he kept asking me if I've ordered Hot Toys's Ultron and Iron Legion.

Medicom MAFEX The Dark Knight and Batpod ... ...

I think I qualify to be a true blue Dark Knight fan given that this being my (lost count) Batman figure from the Chris Nolan's rendition of Batman (Christian Bale) and my 4th Batpod.

I knew I wanted this set the moment I saw it out for pre-order.

King Arts Display Stand ... ...

Watch out Hot Toys, a new contender has arrived and they too want a piece of the Iron Man pie. I have ordered the 1/9th scale Mark XLII and to complement it, the display stand.

The display stand arrived first without Mark XLII and so I used it on a 1/6th scale Falcon earlier and it worked just fine.

Hot Toys - Falcon from The Winter Soldier ... ...

Falcon, from the movie Captain America - The Winter Soldier wasn't my top choice of must get but I eventually did get it. This is indeed amazing!

Neither Beast Kingdom nor Lego ... ...

The bootleg markets are really giving legit toy companies a run for their money with the number of unlicensed products they are putting into the market.

Bought these in Taipei and you can find plenty of these around; word of advice, look around, compare prices before you part with your money. They just get cheaper.

Not Toys but Terracotta ... ...

During the trip in China, I was at the famous Terracotta Army Museum in Xi'an Shaanxi. I bought the 12" Terra Cotta 2 warriors and a horse. I have always been intrigued by the magnificent archaeological find and seeing the actual site is really breathtaking.

Danboard from Abroad ... ...

Another reason for the long absent is due to traveling and in my travels, toys has to be part of the trip.

Back from Hiatus (Wish for an Odyssey) ... ...

Time flies and can't imagine that it has been about 3 months since the last entry.

I had been rather busy at work and also been occupied with another commitment in my life. Back in 2007, I had a Wish.

Years on, I on an Odyssey. It's not the case of a 7 years itch but it's really high time since my COE is almost up.

Dam Toys! Baron, Spade V ... ...

This fits all my criteria for an ideal 1/6 scale figure and one of those is sniper rifle. Of course the cool aura that surrounds this item made me pre order the moment it's available.

Spade V, Baron is the latest to be released under Dam Toys' Gangster Kingdom and this is my second piece following Spade J.

Bandai DX Chogokin VF-27ɣ Lucifer (Update) ... ...

From the earlier post, I mentioned that this post is triggered by VF-29 and I just realized I posted the VF-27ɣ before (face-palm moment).

This is produced under Bandai's DX Chogokin line and there are diecast parts mostly in the joint. I mentioned that this is my last piece from Macross Frontier and the prices of the recent releases help me in staying true to that decision. My other Macross Frontier Valkyries are found

Macross Zero Yamato SV-51ɣ Ivanov Type ... ...

The world of Macross kept expanding and so does the toy line. What invoked this and the subsequent post is due to pre-order for new VFs (Variable Fighters) from the latest Macross Frontier Movie. What I have here is an old purchase which I had no time to post but I have and posted the SV-51ɣ Nora Type from Macross Zero.

"The SV-51 was the only Variable Fighter secretly developed by the Anti-U.N. forces. This top secret fighter was constructed with the use of alien OverTechnology obtained illicitly from the U.N. variable fighter development under undisclosed circumstances."
Source:http://macross.wikia.com/wiki/SV-51

This is one of the weirdest looking Macross Valkyries I have and I like the Ivanov and the Nora Type for their peculiar design and that they reminds me of Maximillian Jenius and Millia Fallyna and their VF-1Js.

Medicom's Amazingly Miraculously MAFEX #004 (Amazing Spider Man) DX Set ... ....

My first Medicom Figure isn't a 1/6 scale RAH (Real Action Hero) but it's one of their newer offering in smaller 1/12 scale action figure dubbed as Miracle Action Figure. However, it's nothing but an overpriced action figure as I experienced it.

I was at many occasion tempted to get a 1/6 scale Spider Man from Hot Toys but really held on but this set seemed like a good alternative.

threezero Titanfall Pilot ... ...

Following from the earlier post of the Atlas, this post will focus on the pilot.

This futuristic soldier is heavily armored and equipped to the max to carry out his mission. He is equipped with booster pack too for really awesome moves in the game and rodeo on the Titans of his choice.

At Last; Titanfall Atlas by threezero ... ...

The Atlas is an exoskeleton Titan from the Xbox One game titled Titanfall.

"Titanfall is a 2014 multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It was released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One on March 11, 2014; an Xbox 360 version ported by Bluepoint Games was released April 8, 2014. The game was highly anticipated as the debut title from developers formerly behind the successful Call of Duty franchise.
In Titanfall, players control "pilots" and their mech-style Titans, and fight in six-on-six matches set in war-torn outer space colonies. The game is optimized for fast-paced, continual action, aided by wall-running abilities and populations of computer-controlled soldiers. Up to 50 characters can be active in a single game, and non-player activity is offloaded to Microsoft's cloud computing services to optimize local graphical performance. The game's development team began work on the title in 2011, and their Titan concept grew from a human-sized suit into a battle tank exoskeleton."
Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanfall

I do not play the game but am sold by this mecha. There are currently 2 companies releasing this. There is the 12" scale version by Square Enix and there is the 20" threezero version which I have got my hands on.

There are a total of 3 Titans featured in the game and Atlas is the one that rules them all for its strength and mobility. This Titan comes complete with a pilot which I will feature more of in the subsequent post. This one will just be Atlas.

Vexed by Sideshow Phase II Captain Rex ... ...

Sideshow really knows how to disappoint and with Disney's acquisition, there is no improvements at all.

This is Phase II version of Rex and I had the Phase I version back in 2011.

Part Deux Dam Toys Spade J (Memories Ver) ... ...

Following this morning's post, I've decided to strip J to see his tattoo.

Now, this is clearly a strong Chinese influence with Loyalty tattooed on his heart. Traditional Chinese triad believes very much in 義 which is loyalty. The symbol (義) has broad inner content, and includes values such as justice, honesty, loyalty and reliability.

Hot Toys Mark XXXVIII, Igor has arrived ... ...

This was first thought to be Hulkbuster suit and it came in red in many of its earlier pictures before Iron Man III was released.

However, it's a big blue boy and it was nothing more than a heavy lifting suit that Tony needs around to build things and hold up falling containers.

Dam Toys Spade J (Memories Ver) ... ...

Dam Toys hasn't disappoint and it really lives up to its reputation with this quality product.

I've been following the releases under the Gangster Kingdom line by Dam Toys and every single one has been fantastically produced. However, I held on until Spade J (memories ver) for it's outfit and accessories.

Oritoy Acid Rain Bucks Team ... ...

Do you have that unsettled feeling of purchases made? Bob and Steel from Acid Rain under Oritoys just gave me that feeling. Ok... this shall be my last Acid Rain individual figure.

I will attribute that feeling due to the price of the figure. At $35 each is rather steep for a 3.75 inch.

Ultra 10 years wait for Masterpiece 22 Ultra Magnus ... ...

Finally! Ultra Magnus looking like Ultra Magnus.

Together with Spike and Daniel
This certainly has been a dream come true as I was very unhappy with Masterpiece 2, Ultra Magnus released by Takara. MP2 was released in 2005, though die-cast, the trailer is made of cardboard and in the packaging, it serves as a tray to hold plastic blister pack of the toy. To get the trailer into shape, you will need to D.I.Y. which I d.i.d.n't bother.

Patience paid off and Takara Tomy made MP22 Ultra Magnus in 2014 and I got it in 2015. There was a third party company (Keith's Fantasy Club) that made the same item but probably due to licensing named it Citizen Stack but nothing beats the original.
