On a New High with Hi-v ... ...

Gundam from Robot Spirits. This makes my third edition of the Hi-v Gundam, RX-93-V2, HCM Pro and MG being my other 2 all under Bandai. This just tells you how much I like this guy. It fits the bill of the kind of Gundams I like.

Perfect Testament Gundam ... ...

The Strike and Testament are 2 Gundams from the Seed Destiny series which dates back a couple of years.

These are both from Robot Tamashii and at $70 per piece, I really don't regard them as toys.

17th Takashimaya Craziest Toy Sale ... ...

and it ends tomorrow. On the first day, which was last Saturday, I just happened to be there as I have totally given up hope in getting anything fantastic from this sale. Anyway, my theory of toy buying is "Don't buy now, regret later." So, if I missed it the first time; it's because I don't like the item that much.

So, why the following purchases? See the prices that I paid for them.

 SIC Kiwami at $5 each

Diend figure at $10 with Ganbaride card

Decade Belt with 10 Ganbaride cards at $20

Robot Tamashii Unicorn Gundam at $25

Fafner Mark Sieben ... ...

a Fafner mecha from a series which I've never heard of not to mention watching it. For those who follows my blog knows I'm kind of a bargain hunter and snaps things up during cheap sales.

So, this is one of those I've picked up from Taka's Craziest Toy Sale this year and yes, I'm taking photos only now.

Angelo Sauper Geara Zulu ... ...

from Gundam Unicorn is a customized Geara Zulu and it's on sale at $35!! I normally do not buy anything else other than Gundam and especially when this so expensive on its own.

Robot Spirit AGE ... ...

A great find while shopping around town when I stumbled upon these at $25 each!!

Except for the last item, Geara Zulu which will be in the next post.

Spirit EVAcuate 02 ... ...

Another Evangelion to add to my already too many collection. Bought this at the most recent Takashimaya Craziest Toy Sale. It must have been really cheap.

Anyway, This is EVA-02 from the movie Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance, EVA-02 was slightly redesigned. The head is modified to have what look like oni horns.

Sinanju Spirit ... ...

This purchase was obtained in Hong Kong and was again like many other purchases; accidental. Anyway, this from my limited information is from Unicorn Gundam animation series.

Standard Robot Spirits packaging and it is priced at quite a premium value above my other Robot Spirits purchases.

The figure does not stand well on its own especially with the boosters attached at the back. A Stage stand is a must.

Some gimmicks include the fins and boosters opens simultaneously on a single flip.

The Sinanju packs a whole load of armaments and it makes this mecha a formidable foe to the Unicorn.

I did not exactly follow the series nor have I read the comic so I do not have too much background knowledge about the Sinanju. However, I believe episode 2 has just been released and its like taking months for one episode to be aired.

Anyway, back to the figure and its weapons, this guy has beam rifles to beam sabers to beam axes on top of gatling guns and grenade launcher. The following pictures has Sinanju showcasing all of them.

All right, bottom line:
This figure is a fantastic display piece with great paint job and decent articulation. A whole list of accessories provides one with multiple combinations in terms of display options. In short; it's a great buy and if you can pick it up from outside the shores of Singapore, you should not hesitate.

I Qan[T] get enough ... ...

of Gundam 00 and they keep evolving it by adding new plots and innovating new mechas. The latest is the GNT-0000 Gundam 00 Qan[T] from the movie "Awakening of the Trailblazer".

The weapon system is similar to all the 00s but somehow this figure looks unique and more formidable.

The GN drive has a make over and does not protrude out anymore

Articulation of the figure is as always fantastic.

Various mode of Qan[T] and the best has to be the GN Field which all the GN bits comes together like in a dragoon system.

The Saga Continues ... ...

It has really been a while since I last did any updates. Anyway, have not really been very active in buying.

What I have today is the Cherudim Gundam SAGA by Robot Spirit. This Gundam is loaded with customized arm package called SAGA. SAGA is an abbreviation for Special Assault Gundam Arms.

The figure is very sturdy with loads of articulation which is a standard now for Robot Spirit figures.

Essentially, the Cherudim is equipped with 3 GN rifles and 2 GN pistols and 2 more GN pistols that looks more like a modified Zaku's heathawks. The GN shield seems rather useless.

Rather disappointed with the hands provided for the Cherudim. It's either the weapon grabbing ones or the clench fists.

A sniper visor is provided for the Cherudim to zero in on long range target. Quite a hassle to put on and remove.

The two GN pistols are snuggling kept in the side holster and can be opened to reveal the small arms.

Well, prices of Robot Spirit releases seem to be on the increase and the rising Yen is another contributing factor. However, one cannot deny that figures under this series has not exactly disappoint except the Macross Frontier ones.

When Path Crossed ... ...

then you know you have found the one. Well, at least in the case of toy hunting. It went all the way to the Pearl of the Orient; Hong Kong. I was at my favorite haunt, CTMA Centre at Mongkok when I found what I have searching for - Robot (魂) Damashii F97 Crossbone Gundam X-2 Custom.

I paid $238 Hong Kong dollar which works to around $48 Sing dollar and it could have been cheaper but it still beat the $60+ which I was offered.

Standard packaging applies here

 All the details are shown

Basic figure out of the box

The Crossbone is from the F91 series and the pix above is the X-2 with the anti-beam coating cloak.

Beam rifle armed

Back of the figure with the signature X shaped thrusters for greater control in Jupiter's orbit

There are two heads provided in the packaging, the open mouth head is when the X-2 is dissipating excess heat from its bio-computer system.

Fight mode with the beam Zanber on the right and Zanbuster on the left

 Zanbuster

 Beam Zanber with beam shield

Shot Lancer which is mounted with 4-barrel heavy machine gun

dagger which is store in the foot and beam dagger from forearm.

Overall, figures under this line by Bandai is great but the pricing isn't especially when it hits our shore.
