The Shell V-Power X Ferrari Passion series ... ...

is another one of those promotions that Shell stations in Singapore have that makes me spend money on things that takes up my already limited space.

However, I do think they look pretty good and it will be a pity to miss them.

This year's collection is under the brand of Bburago and this Italian diecast model car company delivers a set of very nice vehicles which I probably will never own in my life-time.

Alpha Upgrade ... ...

In 2009, I got my first Girl Friend and in the next year, an Alpha Male, which I failed to document in this blog.

6 years on, the 2 has been my faithful companions in shooting subjects that interest me. This year, 2015, Alpha Male had a cardiac arrest during a fireworks display. I've brought it in for professional help and it is back in action but I decided to upgrade.

The Sony ICLA or simply ALT 77 Mark II. It's an upgrade from it's predecessor the ALT 77.

Happy Father's Day ... ...

To all the cool collector dads out there, Happy Father's Day!!

Pleasantly surprised by my son this morning with a card from him and this year, it came with something I normally buy for him.

I'm touched and blessed to have my son who understands me. No wonder he kept asking me if I've ordered Hot Toys's Ultron and Iron Legion.

Not Toys but Terracotta ... ...

During the trip in China, I was at the famous Terracotta Army Museum in Xi'an Shaanxi. I bought the 12" Terra Cotta 2 warriors and a horse. I have always been intrigued by the magnificent archaeological find and seeing the actual site is really breathtaking.

Soldier Story (not the onesixth type) ... ...

but they are soldiers nonetheless. I've got my hands on the Convention Exclusive Oritoy Agurts Infantry which I didn't managed to get simply because I wasn't at STGCC.

Those above are from the Land of a Thousand Smiles and I remember seeing something like them at a Singapore Lego specialty shop and these were retailing for at least $50 with the label of 'customized'.

1:1 Scale Beats Studio Wireless (This is not a toy) ... ...

There's definitely a geek in me for the things that interest me. There are a few things that I really like and sound is one of those.

Finally, I landed myself an original Beats Studio and this comes without the wires or did it?

Takashimaya 18th Craziest Toy Sale ... ...

into its 18th year of craziness and perhaps, it has evolved to regain sanity. Anyway, I wasn't there during opening day to witness what I used to see; toy shop owners scouring the ground with their employees or friends for cheap bargains and retailed them back in their stores at markup prices.

That's one of the reasons why I gave up expecting much from this annual event but I have to admit it still draws me to just take a look what I can pick up.

This year, prices aren't that sweet anymore with Robot Spirits item going at $25-35 minimum. I feel that this year, it's more targeted at young children. I still managed to picked up some Halo stuff with 60% off and 6" Robocop 3.0 for $8. This entry only features the Halo Micro Fleet I got.

ACI Greek Hoplite ... ...

This somehow has an effect on me that I decided to get my very first ancient warrior, the Greek Hoplite by ACI toys. I have seen many of ancient warriors or soldiers figures around by ACI and never had I felt so compelling to put my money down for this guy.

As mentioned that my knowledge on this category is limited other than the occasion movie screening of movies like "300", here's where I pick up more information on a Hoplite.

3R Stathom ... ...

After the USSOCOM Post.. Jason takes a rest on a DIY 1/6 scale "Saving Gaia" sofa. There are really many useful things around; one man's trash is another man's treasure.

This is actually my signature pose whenever I'm at home...

Tiger & Bunny Double Chaser ... ...

One thing about being a toy collector who collects almost everything and anything is that I end up with either many things or nothing as certain things really do come in limited stock.

One such example are items from Tamashii and the item I'm referring to is the Double Chaser from Tiger and Bunny.

I had always knew that there is a model kit version of the Double Chaser but I really am not too keen on putting model kits up. But here we are, I built not just the Double Chaser but also Tiger and Bunny. The story goes like this ...

Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats Ho! ... ...

I've watched Thundercats back in the 90s and I've loved it but was able to own only Lion-O's action figure. The show had a reboot in 2011 but I've not watched a single episode as I don't think it has the magic on me this time.

The Lion-O deluxe figure has a gimmick that does the transformation chant but I've taken the video with the wrong orientation. Apologies for that... anyway, you get the idea of how it works.

Stark with May's Random Purchase ... ...

Some random stuff I've bought this month. I've gotten a new pair of shoes for Spade J from Very Cool. Next to him is Tony Stark in Racing Suit from Iron Man 2 from Very Cool as well and the head is from Hot Toys's Mark IV. Below the 12" figures are Super Hero from Sheng Yuan Toys.

More Fako Legos and I have a feeling social media and bloggers like us will do more harm than good.

 Anyway, it's the Internet age!!

Loving Italia ... ...

I love the way Italian defines beauty and this is why I'll choose an Italian design bikes over any other. Walking around found me these pair. At $9.90 each they actually ain't that cheap but I guess with income, I was more willing to part with the money for them.

Furthermore, I owe Lieutenant Ace a ride while the rest already owned a ride last week.

TRU Ang Bao Sale Part I ... ...

It's been really a while since I managed to buy decently priced toys at a TRU sale or for the matter of fact; decent toys. Well, the Ang Bao (Chinese New Year) Sale has been rather prosperous.

Growing up, I didn't own a single G.I. Joe vehicle or a complete G.I. Joe figure. Today, I don't wana grow up...

Well, these are China made bootleg version of Iron Man suits. Seriously I don't even know if they contain excessive Melamine... ...

Anyway.
