It has a long uninteresting name. I just took to calling it... The Bat ... ...

and yes, Mr. Wayne, it does come in black - That's what the Fox says...

I doubt I will ever own the Hot Toys version if they are really making this for obvious reasons. I was pleasantly surprised that Kaiyodo decided to make one under their Sci-Fi line.

Raiden Day ... ...

When it comes to Metal Gear Solid, I'm only more familiar with Snake but I don't remember Raiden. Quick search on Wiki and I realised; I don't know him at all because he was featured in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty which I didn't play.

Further read has interesting facts as follows which are extracted from Wiki
According to series creator Hideo Kojima, the decision to make a new character replace Solid Snake for most of Metal Gear Solid 2 stemmed from the developer's desire to develop Snake from a third-person perspective instead. Kojima also stated that Raiden's character and its perception by the audience were important to the overall feel of the story. The idea of having a second main character was inspired by the Sherlock Holmes short stories and novels in which the narrator was not the title character, but his friend Dr. Watson. Kojima affirmed that Snake was the game's protagonist instead of Raiden. Yoshikazu Matsuhana, assistant director for the project, was uncertain about this decision; he considered Raiden a "weak-looking character", but decided to follow Kojima. The codename "Raiden" was based on a historical combat aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service, the Mitsubishi J2M Raiden. It was initially planned to be written in katakana as "ライデン", but was changed to the kanji form "雷電" because of the original resemblance to Bin Laden's "Laden" in katanana, "ラーディン".[4] The relationship between Raiden and Rosemary was inspired by Kojima's own experiences; their names, Jack and Rose, are a reference to characters in the film Titanic.Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2 is considered to be a representation of the player through the experiences between the player and the character during the game.

Another Tumble for the another Tumbler ... ...

The irritating bit about toy collecting is you're at the mercy of the manufacturer and it's really up to you if you want to end up their milk cow.

Revotech Eva Type 08α ... ...

I wanted very much to stop buying Evangelion mechas but the sinister look on the 08α is simply irresitable.

Oh, and did I already mentioned that I dig sniper rifles?

Tumbler again ... ...

Not another one and this time I decided that I have enough of black versions and ask "Does it come in other colors too?"

This is Revoltech's version of a unscaled tumbler and I can't seem to get enough of batmobiles; so, it not only chicks who love the car.

Muv-Luv Alternative ... ...

The Type-94 Shiranui (Japanese name: 94式 不知火) is a Tactical Surface Fighter in use by the Imperial Army/Mainland Defence Force of Japan as their premiere unit. The first domestic-production TSF of the Empire, the Type-94 is a high-performance unit that can fill a wide variety of combat roles.

produced under the Revoltech's license is from the Muv-Luv anime which is another one of those that I did I not watch. To me this is a Evangelion meets Gundam kinda of anime and hey, after watching a couple of animes, the plot is quite predictable.

Bought this at the TFH sale again and I must say I really like this.

Finding Nemo ... ...

Have collected Revoltechs by Kaiyodo the moment they released their very first figure and when they obtained the license to make Disney characters; I kinda gave them a miss except Wall.E which is still in its packaging.

Finding Nemo going at 56HKD was too attractive a draw to just buy it. It was on sale at one of the shops in CTMA Centre. I bought Mr Incredible and Sully & Boo as well.

Evactually another Eva ... ...

I have no idea how many times I mentioned in this blog that I do not want to get another Eva. Especially another Test Type-01.

However, here we are with another Revoltech Yamaguchi release of the Test Type-01.

Why did I get this? Well, let's start off with LED lights which I'm obsess with things with lights. The next attraction point is the glow in the dark paint feature which unfortunately, my lens cannot do low light photography to show.

I suspect this is going to be a whole new series of LED and glow in the dark series starting with this item with the serial number 100.

There's a slight twist in the packaging different from the other Revoltech releases; twist ties to hold the figure in place which is really a drag. The generous offering for interchangeable hands kind of makes up for this inconvenience.

An Eva figure is one of the most tacky display toys as this bio-mechanical beast stands in a rather unique pose which I am skipping for now.

Poseability for Revoltech is never a problem but some adjustment is required if you want to achieve certain poses.

Weapons given for this are limited to progressive knife and rifle. Anyway, like I mentioned before, this guy just need his fists.

I talked about the LED light and it's actually on the heart of the angel that Eva 01 has to battle and I happened to have the angel from one of those capsule toys lying around at home. Perfect for the series of shots that follows.

Here's the LED light in action with Eva 01 pounding the life out of the angel when it went berserk.

Seriously, I hope this is my last Eva purchase and hopefully they stop making great releases like this!! It's really a must get for all Evangelion fans.
