Sideshow Speeder Bike ... ...

is something that I did not see coming which I have gladly purchased. By the way, Sideshow made a rather interesting promo video.

I have always been fascinated by the vehicles in Star Wars as a child and even now as an adult. As mentioned many posts ago that I am a hardcore trooper fan. So, getting this additional speeder bike in this scale is a must.
In fact, prior to this, I had pre-ordered the Black Series Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper and have since canceled that order when this came along.

The size of the packaging came as a surprise as I was expecting an elongated box given the form of the Speeder Bike.

Picking up the toy, one of the guys in the shop cautioned me about the need to assemble and that it is highly fragile. That got me slightly worried as I do have the tendency to destroy things.

I went online to read reviews of collectors who experienced building this and saw similar comments about parts breaking and advice against following Sideshow's instruction manual.

All those really had me really worried as I opened up the packing and removing every single components to be assembled. However, when I looked at everything and I don't think it will be any tougher than anything else I have put together.

Word of advice from my personal experience is to install the front stabilizer the last and use the stand provided to hold up the bike.

In no time, the main components are put together. Then I had a visitor. My son had completed his BAF; the Hulkbuster.

This individual switches are a tad tricky as the instruction manual is in black and white and you will have no idea which goes where. Good thing for the Sideshow 'Apple' video above.

And, it's done with nothing broken! The details are amazing on this vehicle. A must have for all Star Wars fan and I will make do with this even if Hot Toys is to release a Deluxe or whatever version.

Oops, bad craftsmanship here as the alignment for the back piece is off-center. Well, what to do? Life goes on.
It's meant to be this way.

Interesting display stand with the moss, algae and tree stump.

Hi
Looking at your last photo I noticed how out of line the right handlebar is on the speeder bike.
This was something I was concerned about when putting the bike together but seeing you have the same problem I can only guess that this is the. Way it's supposed to be.
Do you have any information regarding this issue.
Thanks

Hi Tony. Yes, it is a manufacturing defect and I've come to terms with it as long as the Scout Trooper is able to hold on to the handle.

Hi Jon
Do you have official confirmation that this is a manufacturing defect?
This is not acceptable if that is the case because if you do not intend to purchase the scout trooper it will stand out quite badly.

hi jon
do you have official confirmation that this is indeed a production fault because if it is it is not acceptable.

Hi Tony
I do not have official confirmation that it is. It's just based on my experience of toys collecting. Furthermore, it is too much of a hassle for me to work out an exchange or refund. I rather keep the item and make do with what I can to make it less of a pain. I do agree that it will look kinda weird without the scout holding on to the handle bar. I noticed you have asked the guys in Sideshow and they have given you a very diplomatic non-conclusive reply.

hi jon
where did you see that as I have had no reply from them myself.
I have started a return as I am not happy with mine and am waiting to hear from them.
