Hot Toys Darth Maul with Sith Speeder from The Phantom Menace ... ...

I like Darth Maul and had been waiting for Hot Toys to make a fanboy happy. They did that and included the Sith Speeder; woohoo!

Jet Set Go... ...

It's been close to a year since my last post and I have been really caught up with work again until recently. Was out and about before the commencement of the Circuit Breaker and I'm glad I managed to pick up these 2 jet related items.

Above, the Takara Tomy Transformers Studio Series KSI Boss aka Nitro Zeus and below Jet Trooper from The Last Jedi from Hasbro.

Hot Toys R2-D2: The Droid that was Forced to be Awakened ... ...

Like many Star Wars fans, I am drawn to R2-D2 (aka Artoo) for its eccentricity. However, it is a very unassumingly intelligent droid and that is probably how it survived all this while.

There had been couple of releases of Artoo in 1/6 scale but I have passed all of them until this one. Ironically, Hot Toys's version of Artoo is the simplest with the least number of accessories.

Hot Toys Death Trooper ... ...

Mentioned in earlier post that I have been buying but not posting as diligently as the toys arrived.

This entry features the Death Trooper from the movie Rogue One - A Star Wars Story.

Hot Toys Captain Phasma ... ...

When I first saw the character in the trailer, it didn't occur to me that this Captain is a she. However, her screen play was limited and she didn't quite impress in anyway except for her shiny chrome armor.

She is so shiny that my reflection is in every picture. This figure could have easily been mistaken for a diecast one. Hot Toys did a fantastic job with the chrome paint and now it will stand the test of time.

Flaming Hot Toys's Star Wars TFA Flame Trooper ... ...

It's really been quite a while and today we have with us the Flametrooper from the Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

This guy was featured early in the movie when Kylo seeked BB8 in the village of Tuannul on Jakku. They toasted everyone and everything that's in their path.

Hot Toys Kylo Ren ... ...

I like to start by saying this is not mine. This is my son's first Hot Toys figure. My son has a strange (at least to me) liking for Kylo Ren. He is not a Sith but one of the Knights from the Knights of Ren. Trained under Luke Skywalker before he went all obsessed with idolizing Darth Vader.

There are many reasons I do not like Kylo Ren and it starts from his attire to his helmet to his face. Ok, I know there are among us many fans of Kylo and I shall not badmouth him anymore. Maybe there is 2 redeeming factors about Kylo and those are his powerful strength in the force and his lightsaber.

The First Order of Hot Toys Stormtroopers set ... ...

arrived! I was rather excited as this is my first Stormtroopers by Hot Toys and I had high expectations especially after so many frustrated experience with Sideshow's Prometheus body.

I have gone ahead with my first order with the set which comes with the regular Stormtrooper and Heavy Gunner Stormtrooper.

Star Wars Fever is still on ... ...

Everywhere you go in Singapore, you will see something that is related to Star Wars and I was lucky to pick up the Black Series Scout Trooper and Speeder Bike set at Takashimaya.

At $30, this is a steal!

The thing is that I had given up this set from a pre-order and got the Sideshow version instead. It is pure coincident that I managed to snag this.

Sideshow Jango Fett, not quite the simple man ... ...

Jango Fett, a bounty hunter, not by birth or choice but by fate. He was adopted by Madalorian warriors since young after the murder of his parents. That explains his outfit which is modeled after the warriors of Madalore. Soon, he became a bounty hunter and later agreed to be the genetic template for the clones for the Grand Army of the Republic.

His son, Boba Fett carried on Jango's legacy as a bounty hunter and sporting a cooler updated suit. Read the review on Sideshow Boba Fett here.

Play Arts Kai Boba Fett ... ...

This is probably how Boba should really look like; more like the ruthless bounty hunter portrayed in Star Wars.

Pay Arts Kai Stormtrooper ... ...

Following from the last post, this will feature only Stormtrooper.

Play Arts Kai Storm Boba ... ...

Looks like I'm riding the Star Wars bandwagon for the past few post and including these 3 I am posting tonight.

I usually don't go for deformed or alternative design toys but these guys... somehow had me sold. I gave Darth Vader a miss and those from the S.I.C series a big miss too.

The main reason I bought Boba and Stormtrooper is for the updated look which makes them look much better than what Lucas had wanted them to be back in 1977.

Forced to be Awaken (Star Wars VII - The Force Awakens)... ...

Force Friday was just over and I wasn't actually prepared for what happened today. Was running my regular errand and then... Toys'R'us United Square forced the Star Wars VII - The Force Awakens newly released toys upon my son and me.

Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper by Sideshow ... ...

And they go together!!

Sideshow Scout Trooper ... ...

has to be the perfect companion to the Speeder Bike.

Sideshow Speeder Bike ... ...

is something that I did not see coming which I have gladly purchased. By the way, Sideshow made a rather interesting promo video.

I have always been fascinated by the vehicles in Star Wars as a child and even now as an adult. As mentioned many posts ago that I am a hardcore trooper fan. So, getting this additional speeder bike in this scale is a must.

Vexed by Sideshow Phase II Captain Rex ... ...

Sideshow really knows how to disappoint and with Disney's acquisition, there is no improvements at all.

This is Phase II version of Rex and I had the Phase I version back in 2011.
