13th Craziest Takashimaya Toy Sale......

may well be my last visit ever judging from my catch this year (a huge difference compared to previous years)

Here are the things I have bought and these are all that I had bought this year.

Some mechas from anime that I'm not to familiar with; not bothered to find out what they are
1/60 scale Gundam Busts (my first busts.....and it should come in pairs)

Total damage for this year is a mere $60.......

All of a sudden......

in the mood to take pictures and post the whole new Transformers the Animated Series.

Been a little busy and lazy these days to take pictures of my collection (I know I mentioned I will post pix of toys bought in Japan). However, I've come to this conclusion that I will not post items that are MISB or MOSC anymore. I will only post items that are 'free' from their packaging.

So here they are; the loose but complete items.

Favourite of all the Animated characters. Elite Guard Ultra Magnus!
All weapon system online and hot!
Alternate mode. Heavy artillery armour vehicle
The cocky Elite Guard Sentinel Prime (real pain the neck)
Dinobot Swoop (cool ninja style)
Bumblebee
Prowl
Elite Guard Jazz
Cybertron mode Optimus Prime
Me Grimlock! Me eyes glow.
The Elite Guards (check out the size of Ultra Magnus!)
Dinobots (missing Snarl; MOSC)
Autobots (Missing Bulkhead and Rachet; MISB and MOSC respectively) Everyone plus MP Prime, Cybertron Galvatron and Animated Soundwave)
Finally, another posting after some time. However, this is really time consuming.............yet FUN!! :)

No Entry.......

doesn't mean no buying. Have been keeping up my toy purchase at a healthy level for my wallet.

Purchases includes:

Complete set of Transformers Animated series Autobots with Starscream, Soundwave and Megatron.

Complete set of HCM Pro Gundam 00's Exia, Dynames, Kyrios and Virtue (Nadle)

Complete set of MSIA Gundam 00 (same as above)

Soul Spec Evangelion 00 and 02 units

Most of which was from a recent Japan trip which I spent a day in Kobe hunting for my toys. Boy! Toys there were dirt cheap but going there is not, so I guess it kinda even out in a way.

Will post pictures when camera is charged up.

The Happiest Moment.......

of a toy collector is when one can display one's purchases.

The much needed shelf space did just that for me. Call it therapeutic if you may, a sense of calmness close to zen-like feeling was all around from the buying of the shelf (Kilby) to fixing it, to finally occupying it with my wonderful collection.

New shelf on the right with LED lighting

Top - Kotobukiya Morpheus (Matrix) and the Skywalkers...and a goblin (can't remember name)

5th shelf - TFs and finally opened the Stealth VF-1J with strike pack (btw, the Wheeljack is a bootleg)

4th shelf - Gundams and Revoltechs (assortment) + SD Valks

3rd shelf - New Ferrari from Shell and some other assortment

2nd and 1st shelf - MISB stuff.....waiting for their chance to be displayed.

Weird but......

I felt rather happy these days with the diminishing need to purchase more toys. Have missed out on a few collections these few months but I don't exactly have any "withdrawal syndrome".

A few weeks ago, I was at OG Albert and I saw this MSIA Gundam figure and I was totally absorbed by its mould but I actually put it back on the shelf and there was this sense of relief (maybe it's because I just spent on my 17").

However, I wouldn't say that I would stop my toy collecting hobby totally. It has evolved to a more logical and calculated kind.

Red eyed monster......

I was for the past few days since Friday, 18/1. so, a little time on hand to update another entry.

Here's the one about my other 'toys'. Guys like toys, in any form I guess.

Toy 1 - Thanks to my beloved, sweet and gorgeous wiffy. She got me this Samsung 19" Widescreen LCD TV for our 9th wedding anniversary gift. What else can I say? She knows what I like and want. Now, I can watch TV or play my playstation in my own private domain! Woohoo!

Toy 2 - The reason for the long absence and decrease in toy purchase.

My TF Wish XE. I wasn't wishy-washy when it comes to transforming it to the car that I want. Blame it on cable for programmes like 'pimp my ride' and those car modifying kind of shows. Well, actually I have always wanted to mod my ride and make it one and only so......here's the road of transformation for the WISH XE.

Pix 1,2 and 3 of Wish at age 2 months.

Left/top Wish is stock. No mod except for the SCION emblem in replacement of what looks like a Perodua. The Wish on the right/bottom has front lip, side skirting, rear lip and spoiler fixed (ABS material).

Pix 4, 5 and 6 of Wish at age 3 months

Decided to add the Wide Fender Flares (ABS material) to give it a beefed up look. When I was in Thailand, all their Wishes came stock with the fender flares! ENVY...

Pix 7 and 8 of Wish at age 4 months

Finally, completed the modification with 17" sports rim and CSC tyres. I would say I have a cool ride that's one of a kind.

Absence doesn't mean......

being inactive. Although, the purchasing of toys have kept to a minimum. However, I've been actively collecting other 'toys' within these 3 months of blog break.

Here are the updates.

Let's stick to real toys first.

First up, Optimus Prime - Nightwatch colour scheme. Love this piece with its cool colour. A gift from my friends at work. They really know what I like. Thanks guys!

Next up are the 25th Anniversary VF-1S and YF-19. These two should conclude my Yamato Macross collection. However, nothing is final until it is final. So, hoping that Yamato will not make anymore tempting valks.

Finally cleared some of my Transformers Collection and made some shelf space for other toys.

Here's a little update of the current display (see previous entry for comparison).

Ok, so much for updates. Will update the other 'Toys' in the next entry.
