Art Figures Judge Dredd or is it Dae dd... ...

"Negotiation's over. Sentence is death"

It almost suffered the fate of death as this product ran into some licensing issues. However, it is out in the shops and as long as Disney doesn't own it, the product comes cheaper.

This is my second product from Art Figures and I must say this guys does movie characters as accurately as the big boys do. The first is Lt A.K. Waters from 'Tears of the Sun".

I like the stylistic approach done on the box and there's this minimalist feel which is much appreciated.

Open up and what you see is what you get.

I really appreciate that the gloves are already on him. His fingers are the fully articulated type. The suit it came with is awesome looking and very nicely tailored for the body.

Karl Urban, who plays Dredd 2012 did not show his face at all as he wore the helmet throughout the show. No wonder he looks so pi$$ed here and it could probably be they made him bald and to make matters worse, there's a stub on his head. He looks like a humanized form Lego figure.

"Here, put on the helmet since I have no use for it anymore and apparently, you need it more than I do"
I had wanted to put the head of Stallone onto the body but the neck connectors are different and the helmet is made to fit only the stubby head or Urban.

"Thanks for the heads up"

There is quite a galore of accessories and the qualities are pretty good.

Take a closer look at the badge and you will realize how clever the Chinese are at playing with letters. It's not DREDD exactly.

Full listing what you get for his outfit
  • Helmet
  • Leather Jacket
  • Ballistic Vest
  • Judge Badge
  • Leather Pants
  • Leather Gloves
  • Leather Boots
  • Breathing Respirator (found inside the pouch at the rear of the belt)

What's on the belt
  • Belt Buckle
  • Gas Grenade
  • Door Breach Mine
  • Lawgiver Magazines
  • Medi-Kit
  • Knife

Weapon of choice is the high tech Lawgiver pistol with interchangeable silencer (I prefer the longer one) and holster.

The design of the boots is another thing to marvel at for this figure.

With everything on and he is ready to judge.

The wrist computer and display is a nice touch but very tacky. Mine came with a loose string inside which I'm not too bothered with.

Efforts for movie accurate attempts on the helmet and ballistic vest is commendable and I am not complaining.

I am satisfied with what I see and feel so far. More pictures soon if if I find the time soon.
