Anyway, here it is, unboxed. By the way, it came with a very nice boxart but it's a pity that I had to discard the box.
Main draw of this purchase isn't Batman but Batpod will look incomplete without a rider and so here is Super Imaginative Chogokin (SIC) Batman from The Dark Knight under The Movie Realization series.
Design of the suit is styled after Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight, however, the bat here is not Christian Bale.
The Movie Realization Batman & Bat-pod is the result of the
collaboration between legendary manga artist Masakazu Katsura (桂正和) and Takayuki Takeya (竹谷 隆之), brilliant
sculptor behind the SIC toy
series.
Articulation is quite decent with double jointed in the knees and elbows. Double jointed in the neck as well; one in the neck brace and one on the neck. Joints in chest and waist as well. Decent enough to achieve most poses but to get the signature Batman post as he looks down Gotham; not possible.
Other accessories include batarang, grappling hook gun, 4 pairs of extra hands (one for grappling hook gun, one for batarang and a pair for riding the Batpod and Batpod support stand.
The sexy batpod is up next. This is one sweet ride to own and of course the design here will have slight differentiation from the movie version.
There is a general use of diecast metal here in this vehicle and the heft of it is a testimonial of the amount of dedication the designers put into this.
The stand seems rather redundant as Batpod can balance on the ground just fine; another evidence that engineering precision was put in place for this.
Even with Batman on it with both legs up on the pedals, the Batpod stood its ground. What more can I say.
Batman rides away and seeing where he's going; now that's riding safely home to your love ones.
