Takashimaya 20th Craziest Toy Sale Part 6 (Kamen Rider Drive Type Dead Heat) ... ...

On National Day, 9 August 2016, I again dropped by Takashimaya to see what cheap bargain can I get on the last day of the Craziest Toy Sale. I must say it has been quite a harvest for me to pick up 4 toys and adding on, my son's 7 Gundam model kits.

On the last day of the sale, I was pleasantly surprised that they added Type Dead Heat of Kamen Rider Drive.

It happened to be in the same color scheme with our state flag and this being National Day, I'm employing Type Dead Heat to be the flag bearer for Singapore's 51st Birthday.

Following from the previous post, I also bought Masked Rider 2 with Cyclone and this indeed brings back memories as this is the first Masked Rider I watched as a kid.

Takashimaya 20th Craziest Toy Sale Part 3 (Kamen Rider Drive Type Wild) ... ...

As mentioned in the last post that I will drop by if I ever was at Takashimaya and Singapore being so small, I was there and this time with my son.

He was all crazy about Gundam kits after watching Iron Blooded Orphans and he picked up 4 kits. 1 1/100 kit at $50 and 4 HG which were only going for $10 per kit.

Anyway, this isn't about his Gundam kits. It's about my first Kamen Rider Drive figure by SHFiguarts; Type Wild.

Injustice Batman, Gods Among Us ... ...

I have no idea I will get another American based character from a Japanese based toy company so soon. I'm talking about Batman from the video game Injustice: God Among Us.

Being familiar with S.H.Figuarts, I have no problem clicking pre-order. My previous encounter was Iron Man Mark XLII.

When Silver Crow Meets Black Lotus ... ...

Well, there is nothing special about them meet as they are both from the anime Accel World. The unusual bit here is that these 2 are from Max Factory's Figma and Bandai's SHFiguarts. Noting the fact that both companies do both version of the characters.

Accel World is a story of children who escapes into the virtual world taking on various avatars and engages in battles in the virtual world, Brain Burst, a secret program that is able to accelerate the human cognitive process to the point at which time appears to stop. Brain Burst is more than just a program, but a Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online (VRMMO) Fighting Game where people fight each other in fierce duels in order to obtain Burst Points which can be expended for acceleration abilities in the real world.

No, I didn't get this at the latest Craziest Takashimaya Toy sale. If you have been following this blog, I have posted Wild Tiger from the anime Tiger & Bunny. So, Tiger isn't complete without Bunny and so when I chanced upon it in Japan, I bought it and of course, it was on sale...

Fourzed ... ...

An item that was purchased at TFH's sale a few weeks ago. Kamen Rider Fourze is quite a recent character of the Kamen Rider franchise. I've not watched the series simply because I don't quite like the look of this masked rider.

I will never own this if not for the fact it was a sale item.

Turbuler Power ... ...

in terms of the price in the SHFiguarts latest vehicle series for Kamen Rider Double - "The Turbuler Unit"; this is what you get when Japanese does the naming.

It arrived in an inconspicuous carton box packaging but collectors know what's the content with the text on the box.

The packaging of the Turbuler Unit is an all black and white scheme. I find it classy and noticed the "Tamashii Collectors' Shop" sign at the lower left corner. That explains the price (didn't know prior to pick up).

Back of the packaging is the same colour scheme with a stand down mode of the unit. By the way, it does not come with Hardboiler.

Everything is housed in a single tray with 6 parts altogether and in my opinion; cheap plastics. Very bootleg kind of feel.

Pre-assembly

You will need to own Hardboiler to attach the unit together to form the Turbuler mode for flight.

Verdict: Nothing spectacular about the Turbuler unit except if you REALLY want it. The price-tag for this is way too high and unjustifiable even by my standards.

Last of the Double ... ...

I hope as I picked up what I supposed will be my last 2 purchases for this series.

I had wanted the FangJoker figure after seeing my son's. Did not noticed the difference when I first saw the promo pictures.

This is also one of the sets that came with many optional hands and thus, more poses can be done with them.

According to my son, the fangs are supposed to come out individually when called upon but I was too lazy and so, displayed all. Really not too much of a Kamen Rider fan.

Next up is the Lunar with Metal and Joker set. I was not too willing to get this because of the 'banana' hands.

Broke the V fin while fixing the arms onto the LunarMetal.

However, nothing glue can't do to get things fixed and then follow by some paint touch up. Well, I think I've reached a certain phase where my obsession is coming to a plateau.
